Is there someplace to set the delay for screen lock to occur? I can adjust screen blank timeout, but can't find anything for the lock. Basically I want to be able to hit the side button and be right where I was, without having to unlock, if it's just sitting for a couple minutes.

I'm not sure this is an option :( Maybe one of the custom ROMs have it. As soon as the screen times out it locks, can't seem to find an option to adjust this. Let me know if you have any luck :)

try NoLock from the market - the screen will not lock when it blanks, but is does not lock when you press the lock button either :-(
