Here's quite a good UK video of an unbranded Galaxy S unboxing and quick run through of some of the features.

the box and layout of the parts looks exactly like the iphone's..
probably because samsung is trying to market this as an america phone

480x800 pixels, that means its 5:3 not 16:9? did samsung think watching movies in their original aspect ratio was a bad thing? are we going to have to watch movies with those black bars on top and bottom?

It's not that bad really, the bar is small, compared to 3:2 ratio screen like iphone/ipod touch. However, must admit that before galaxy S, omniaHD has the best screen to watch HD movies.
