Hi all..
being an ex Iphone user you can imagine I am having a few problems with sync films/photos etc. I have installed a 16gb card but am still wondering the best way to install stuff. I see Kies is not supported by Mac's (typical) so any advice would be great giving a blow by blow on how to install items so they work and can be easily found. I have tried installing Kies on the wifes pc but it can't find the phone (is Kies already installed on the phone - if so where) ? If I can get things working on the wifes pc I guess I could always install boot camp on the MAC thus allowing windows to run.
Any help most welcome, thanks in advance....

I had a nightmare getting Kies to work. I nearly launched by SGS through a window, luckily I stuck with it and Kies now connects to my Phone. I would check that the Kies USB drivers are installed on your wifes PC, and that the PC is recognising that your phone is being plugged in.

I also found launching Kies fist and then plugging in my phone helped. My PC always ask me to install something called Teutonic, and when I hit yes my phone is recognised, within a few seconds.

Good luck with the install. Hopefully one of the more technically adept Forums members will be able to steer in a better direction.

BTW. What OS is on your wifes computer?

At the moment I seem to be going around in circles as my Mac wont even see the phones or the new micro sd at the moment although an hour ago it did.....arhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh my brain hurts !!

Trust me Kies does not work period - last time I checked the Galaxy S is not listed as one of the supported phones - so how we are supposed to manage the ting and patch the new OS when it becomes available I dont know.

Still congrats on not buying the latest JobsBlower.
