: My Custom Darky Theme (WIP)

Having been on various versions of Darky's ROM for a month now, I decided I was getting bored with the green-ness of it. I've been reading up a bit on theming and I thought I'd put together something of my own, based around the standard Darky's theme and R64s theme.

So, I took R64s orange theme as a base, added a few of the bits I liked from Darky's, kept all of R64s orange/yellow bits and edited a few PNGs myself to my own liking.

I have a list of a few more additions I want to do, to completely rid the theme of anything green, tick boxes and so. Want a simple gold, black and grey.

So far I have the notification bar as I want it

And also a few minor changes to the lockscreens and a new USB screen

And I found a nice Darky/Gingerbread style version of Launcher Pro that goes well with the look

Next up is a vertical gold battery (less orange) with a readable percent number(!), and a bit of theming to my dock icons and homescreen widgets :)

I made them myself using some screenshots of the Touchwiz app drawer and Photoshop :)

This phone is based on linux. Why do you use Windows logo for USB connection? One point I wouldn't use your theme. Otherwise it looks good, well done. Would you also do a neon orange theme (would interest me more..)?

I think the windows icon is meant to represent the PC you are connecting to. I think the vast majority of people who connect the SGS to the PC are windows users, so that would make sense.

Yep, as said, it's the computer, I use Windows so I figured I'd put the Windows logo on. I'm making it for myself really :) The 'connected' screen shows the two linked together with a cable.

Don't know if I could make it orange as I'm only really moving files about between the two themes I have and editing a few of the simple PNGs. R64s standard orange theme does look quite nice as it is if you want something like that.

Been very busy last month, so nt had much time for this. Just sat down this afternoon and made a few small changes.

Modded the Epic lockscreen as it's my new favourite

Installed the orange Market from XDA, and made a couple of minor tweeks to it

And finally, themed 3G Watchdog as I didn't like the square icon

Looks like a rather modded version of Friends Widget that comes with the paid version of Launcher Pro. I use it and it's great - the only gripe I have is about once a week to 2 weeks I have to re-enter my credentials to Twitter/Facebook as it seems to stop loading but that's not a big deal to me. I couldn't do without it on my phone - it may as well be my homescreen as I go to it more than the homescreen.

Yep, as above. My favourite widget by far. Just wish the Facebook could like to Android Facebook, but it does a decent enough job as it is.

I use the Grey Blurps version from here - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=783427
