What do you guys think?
Habylab 12-16-2010, 10:00 AM Depends how it performs, but Samsung will release a new dual core next year. Everyone will.
bazza 12-16-2010, 01:21 PM Is it the same processor that's in the Advent Vega tablet? if it is then by all accounts it's a good one
Loofah 12-16-2010, 01:51 PM Looks pretty smart too. I like it!
soraxd 12-16-2010, 04:05 PM i like that phrase "galaxy s killer", now were the phone to beat, bitches
soraxd 12-16-2010, 04:11 PM but really im surprised samsung let LG have this one, in the past samsung would always rush out some half ass product just to have it first, like when sony ericsson annouced the satio with a 12.1mp camera, they made their 12.1 with absolutely no features or support. LG on the other hand is doing great, they made the iphone4 screen, and now their very own phone is packing a dualcore processor.. that lg phone build looks really nice, just wish more of the phone was actually screen.. it has a 1.3mp front cam, hm i wonder if its the same as the iphone4 since apple and LG seem to be working together lately.

That's because the sgs is such a threat! Imagine the apple android coming out in future?!!
steviweavi 12-17-2010, 10:33 AM I'm not really that fussed about this, the screen is too small for a start & the Samsung Galaxy S2 is out soon...

If the Samsung Galaxy S is the 'phone to beat, we should worry about the state of the mobile 'phone market! If the 'phone to beat:
- doesn't connect to a computer
- crashes on a regular basis, or freezes for up to five minutes (including whilst an incoming call is coming in)
- frequently drops signal for calls and texts whilst maintaining signal for data
- forgets settings, or changes them by itself
then something is wrong somewhere! Doesn't matter how good the screen, camera, or system is, if you can't actually use it, it's not a good 'phone. Good job I've only got another 20 months of contract left :-(

Nor do I.
Do you want to swap phones because I'm getting bored with mine running smooth and no problems to fine and fix:( not that I had many in the first place :)
Just downloading Doc's v6.2 slim to try at the moment :) and and a new desktop OS to install and setup :) then maybe I can finally get some sleep :)
andy-roid 12-28-2010, 08:20 PM heres the new updated photo of what going to kill the galaxy s in sales in 2011
Tufftoad 12-28-2010, 09:34 PM I bet you can't customise dial pad!
Oh my.....LOL .....Look how sexy it looks! :p
Goots 12-29-2010, 12:07 AM Wonder if it will run Darky's Rom...
dk206 12-30-2010, 10:59 PM Hummingbird's own GPU already competes head to head with Tegra 2. In real-world application + games there isn't anything that hummingbird cpu + graphics can't run.
Samsung aren't rushing their Orion chip and I ain't surprised.
w98seeng 01-04-2011, 12:28 AM OK, let's compare apples and oranges. The new LG -hone is a 1GHz dual core phone, the SGS is not. How about comparing the LG phone with this (http://www.gsmarena.com/samsung_i9100_galaxy_s_2-3621.php)...
Comparison (http://www.gsmarena.com/compare.php3?idPhone1=3598&idPhone2=3621)
Looks pretty even if you ask me.

Don't think I'll be updating to the Galaxy S 2 if those are the spec's, Not really even a small jump, well maybe the Galaxy S 3 will be much better :)
