Hi
Just trying to set up my Gmail/calender between my Mac and Galaxy S. When I enter entries on my Google calender on my mac they go straight to the phone calender - great, however if put and entry on the phones calender is doesn't sync on the laptop although it shows syncing.
Guess I am missing something simple.........any ideas !!!!

Thanks

Steve

When add a new event in the phone, make sure you select the right calendar, it chooses "My Calendar" by default which is the phone calendar, not the google calendar. I felt for this mistake all the time even now!

I too have had this problem - it is a shame that there is no way (that I can find) to change the default calendar to be my google one...

edit to include: I've got iCal Version 4.0.3 (1388) running on a macbook pro

I'm having problems before the stage of the posts above.

I've tried following the instructions here http://www.google.com/support/calendar/bin/answer.py?answer=99358#ical

but don't have "Server Options" mentioned in their point #4 - I have "Server address" and "Server Path." I've tried entering the suggested url into each of those in various combinations (having amended by including my gmail address).

google's instructions then advise:

# Click Add.
# Under the Delegation tab, select the calendars you'd like to add to iCal by checking the boxes next to them. You may need to hit refresh to get the latest list of calendars.

I don't seem to have an "Add" option, also if I progress to the "Delegation" tab there are no calendars shown, and refreshing brings none up either, eventually returning an error (error 60) and asking me if I want to stay online.

Any ideas greatly appreciated, thanks!

If you put your event in the wrong calendar, you can move it by opening it, select edit, then swap the calendar and save.

Already reply in your other post, this problem is fixed in the future Froyo firmware.

Hello,

I must be doing something wrong- I'm trying to sync google calendar with the Galaxy calendar and ical on my Mac.
This is where I've got to so far:

-If I enter an appointment in google calendar it also shows up in ical and on the phone.
-If I enter an appointment on the phone it shows up on google calendar and ical.
-BUT anything entered in ical doesn't appear on google calendar or the phone.

Is there an obvious setting I'm missing?
thanks in advance for any help.

Sounds like your Mac is not sycn with google calenday. I havn't tried on Mac but there should be some sort of settings allow you to set the time for synchronise. I would first check on those settings. Also make sure when creating the event in Mac, make sure it goes into the right calendar.

Aha, making progress here. I'm not sure which setting I changed, but I now have syncing both ways. New appointments entered on phone or ical or google calendar now appear in the other two places automatically. I'm now wondering if there's a way of syncing all old appointments as well.

Apparently android phone will not sync events older than 1 month. Someone manage to hack it by changing the date of the phone, see post#60 from this thread (http://code.google.com/p/android/issues/detail?id=3672)

Hope this help.
