the headset that came with the phone.. is there a way to get it to actually work as a headset? when i get a call and i answer, no sound comes thru the headset even tho there plugged in, i have take one of the headphones out and put the phone up to my head.. anyone know whats up?

Mine works fine. I just plugged it into the jack and it worked but I'm just using the software that came with the phone (no custom ROM)

Mine works fine too, also answer calls pushing the talk button works just fine too.

i just tried my default headphones, they work perfect.. guess its just my Bose headset that doesnt work. ohwell thanks guys

Apparently, Samsung wire their headsets differently.Dont quote me on this, Im going by memory here.They are wired t/r/r/s/ground/mic .
Where as most others are wired t/r/r/s/mic/ground

I tried my iPhone headset and it doesnt work.Also to get a decent sound when listening to musi I have to press and hold the button on the headset.

i have to do the exact same thing on my Bose, i ducktaped the button down..

Thats because of the different wiring.So (as far I am aware) its Samsung headset or some Nokia headsets that work as they should.

I had the same problem when I first got the phone,if you go to settings,volume,then media volume and turn that up then that should solve your problem!mine was on mute thats why I couldnt hear the call on the headset!hope that solves your problem!
