Downloaded launcher pro yesterday (not sure if I like it yet) and thought I would use it for a couple of days to see what I think.
The problem is everytime I set it to "set default" using home switcher (it wouldnt launch without that) it sets then as soon as I press the home button it goes back to TWlauncher as default.
Anyone know why?

How about set it manually instead of using Home Switcher? If you go menu > settings > applications > Manage Applications > select "All" tab > TWLauncher > Clear defaults. Then press home once and it should load up launcher selector, select Launcher Pro and check "use by default for this action". This work for me.

i'm quite tempted to try this too, following recent upgrade to Froyo and yes i did do the factory reset after and all is well.

Please report back , as i have installed this before but couldnt get on with it , now i know my phone a little better would like to give it another go, i read in the comments a lot about Force close , if this is the case i dont want it . would be good to have a running launcher pro link for people to write their thoughts and any problems they have.

This is the reason I like it. My biggest disappointment with it is the app draw as I like the Samsung one better, but having 15 shortcuts without filling up the home screen is just too good not to use :)

Swipe gesture action: If you press and hold any dock icon, it will popup a menu, select Swipe Gesture action, you will prompt a number of actions you can assign to. To activate the new action, just swipe from bottom to top on your assigned icon.

Example of how I use it.

Camera icon: press to open up camera, swipe to open up gallery
Application icon: press to open drawer, swipe to open settings
Message icon: press to open message, swipe to open email

Resize any widget on your screen (Pro version): Press and hold any icon or widget on your home screen, instead of drag it to the trash bin, release your finger at the same place and you will see your widget goes yellow, now you can resize it by dragging the triangle at the bottom right.

This I think only works in the pro version

Next big question, still playing with free version but wanted to know if its worth purchasing the pro one ?

Depends on what you want.

In the Plus version you can resize the widgets on your home screen and I believe you get some extra widgets too :)

Or maybe you just want to show the developer that you appreciate his work :)
