Hi Guys,
I'm new here and I hope I'm posting this in the right place. My galaxy s is the 8gb version. I have an external 8gb hsdc in it as well.
My confusion is:
the internal SD shows and Andriod folder which is taking up 3.8gb of space.
The folder consists of multiple folders within like com.google.android.apps.maps and com.cooliris.media....

Is this folder important... what will happen if I delete it to free up space.

Any help in this matter will be highly appreciated.

thats where all the apps and system programs are saved. its important. every app you download goes into that folder. actually i didnt even know it was possible to view it on the computer. you really dont wanna mess with anything in there. in android 2.2, that folder will be significantly smaller, because youll be able to use other memories, including sdhc cards.
