I just got my Galaxy S yesterday and have got onto Android Market but seem to have a problem downloading any applications. It says "Starting download" but it doesn't seem to do anything after than. Strangely enough it randomly installed a couple of the applications this morning without even activating it. Do you know what the problem could be?

Its a google market bug I think, I had the same issue. However after deleting the market and downloader cache it was working fine again.

How do I do that? Will google market come back again after I delete it?

If clear cache doesn't work, you can also try factory reset.

Menu > Settings > Applications > Manage Applications > Market > Clear Cache

Now got it working after the 3 time of factory re-setting :)

Yes it is pain in the butt, I too had to do mine a couple times before it worked. May I ask if you are using the custom rom? I had this market problem right after I flashed mine with the MCR R2.
