Planing to buy a cheap USB car charger which has output of 5V and 1000mAmp. Hope the specs are ok for SGS?

I had a cheapy charger rated at the same output, however i noticed that if the satnav was used then the phone did not actually charge and power was still depleating albeit at a lower rate, however i switched to a charger designed for the ipad rated at 2.1 amps and this charges perfectly, its a little more expensive around 12 to 15 pounds, but the benefit is its only the length of the socket itself so does not protrude.

The model was griffin power jolt micro

Thanks for that. I think I might go for the official Samsung accessory pack if its only £30 including car dock
