Hi,

I am using the default email app for my hotmail account and have set it to check for emails every 5 minutes, but it rarely does this. It does sometimes work, but very rarely.

I am guessing the app should run smoothly and fetch email every 5 minutes, like it says on the tin.

Does anyone know if this is a common problem or if there is a fix for it?

Yes I have same problems but it seems only happen on certain people, I end up have to use other email app, check this post (http://samsunggalaxysforums.com/showthread.php/157-Help-please-for-email-notifications)

Hi! same here though. Maybe it has something to do with the internet connection, if not then security issues. I am using pop account to fetch my hotmail emails. However, I am getting emails with a delay of 30mins each. I hope there is a resolution to this issue. Thanks for posting this one, I get to share my experience. nice forum!

I had this same issue and went to ATT store for help. They had me delete email account and set it up again. It now works fine.
