How do I disable the Googlemail and other apps like daily brief always being connected to the internet? My battery is draining well fast, had it fully charged when I woke up this morning and now a mere 5 hours later I have 37% left.

I disabled the screen full brightness, disabled the wifi and I am thinking the always being connected is a contributing factor. Such a same too, I love the Google Mail app alerting me when I have emails :(

For Googlemail, you can switch off the notification. Gmail -> Menu -> Notification Settings.

Don't use Live Wallpaper if you have. Mind you, the battery goes down fast might because the phone is just too damn good to put it down :) thats exactly what happen to me when i had it the first few days. I have my email notification on ( I am using K-9 mail), it normally last me a whole day (over 10 hours) for average usage like checking facebook, twitters, emails, phone calls, occasionary a few pictures and videos........etc

:( I love the live wallpaper too wtf. They boast about this epic battery but forget to tell you that you cant use anything in order to get a decent battery duration. I was in work earlier, sent a few messages, read a few emails but that was it. I noticed it dropped to 50% and thats when i turned down the screen brightness and took off the wifi and stuff. Then it dropped right down to like 17% with all that off and without me even using it that much, only to check a couple emails. That was all before 4pm. So 7am - 4pm with 15mins total online and 15 text messages and maybe 40mins browsing the phone.

This is well shit. I have gimped it down to the bare minimum nearly and there was not enough juice to last the rest of the day. I always had my screen brightness on my Omnia HD set to full and battery hung in there no problems. I will give it a good charge tonight and keep the wifi and shit off and see how it goes tomorrow.

Also I never charged it when I first got it, I kind of let the battery drain till i was getting annoyed by the warnings and charged it on and off as I was using it same time. Is it possible that I have fucked up the battery? This was all before I stuck it on a full 6 hour charge as I slept.
