hi. im a relatively new user currently living in Seoul, South Korea with an (obviously) Korean Galaxy S. im planning on flashing the i9000XWJM5 firmware in order to use samset 1.9f, however i wanted to be sure this wont cause any problems with the phone. my phone is rooted already, and the firmware is listed as M110S.DH09.2134.ST, kernel 2.6.2.9 root@craven #15.

the reason im posting is that i read on the XDA site that when flashing, you should stick with the firmware in your region. is this always the case? i know the JM5 firmware isnt from my region so will i be taking a big risk in flashing firmware from another region onto my phone? has anyone else done this without major issues?

Don't flash, you'll brick your phone. All these firmwares are for the international Galaxy S (i9000).
