1)Access Recovery mode Without computer
2)Install Android SDK on your computer and use command prompt
3)Install Rom Manager to your phone and use Clockwork Mod recovery image

Hey thanks for the input! Although this will only take you to the download mode (not quite fit to the topic here), but this is good enought to unbrick any bricked phone by flashing a new firmware using Odin.

i see you are so talented about android i tell you my story you could give me an advice

Today i start to try my samsung galaxy s i 9000 not vibrate or anything else just galaxy s
it was 2.2.1 and i try to make it 2.3.3 first of all odin stuck on "setup connection" for a thousand times then i try 2.3.4 or 2.3.5 but nothing change.
and i try to make hard reset with odin??? and i try to do that with an odin app. which i found from this site but,!!! because i spend many hours on the screen god damn i didn't see what writing at the end ([STOCK ROM] Odin3 One-Click Downloader and Drivers CAPTIVATE ONLY) and i push to start then odin and my galaxy on download mode , start to work together and when everything is done there was just flashing white screen with an "at&t world phone logo " ----i bought it from germany was a Vodafone based phone then i upgrade to regular samsung firmware 2.2.1(I9000XXJPX) it wasn't At&t phone---- and nothing at all ,my three buttons don't work my phone don't work don't charge don't open no download mode no clock mode no normal mode
i think i made a huge mistake my phone was start like an vibrate phone because of that it's confused and i lost my phone
how can i restore my phone
if i use that jig stuff it could help to start at download mode
because now when i plug with usb nothing happens no windows usb alert
no odin reaction
what i must to do
i'm total confused
and if i rescue my phone and it coms back with 2.2.1 what can i do for upgrade what is the next firmware before upgrade 2.3.5 i think it could'nt be upgrade very fast i ask but i think if i rescue i stay with 2.2.1 for a while for calming down

Get (Or make) a USB Jig. This will put the phone into download mode, so you can use odin to flash again.

Conciser everything on your phone lost.

i made a jig ,myself, with a 301 k ohm 1/4 resistor , i buy, and with an old microusb anf soldering machine
it just works , i do everything by watching some videos and look at the scheme of microusb
and i made it ,cellphone start in download mode and i load 2.2.1 with odin
but my three buttons combination is lost, everytime i press three buttons ,screen starts to snowing with random colors like an old tv and freeze, when i release buttons continue to opening
and i decide to try to load three buttons comb with "odin secondary bootloader fix"
and now my phone is totally brick
no answer to anything
no power button, no three buttons, no plugging jig stuff
i'm sorry but not so much, cause i had to do that, i had to try
now i'm going to find some place for make riff jtag
may i ask you, you advice me to make jtag??

i could'nt go to the technical services i buy this cellphone from Germany now i'm in Turkey
and here Samsung technical services really sucks,you go there with one problem but come back with many new problems

There is another way? to save phone except JTAG

Where have i made mistake ? myphone was 2.2.1 i try to upgrade to 2.3.5 there is some limitations about that like first upgrade from 2.2.1 to 2.2.2 after 2.2.3 or something like that

and the last one
my problem is software problem,probably mainboard is confused, that's right
that's not a hardware problem , am i right?

I haven't read up or gone down the route of JTAG, but I'm sure it's not that simple to make your own.

If you have truly bricked your phone then you may be out of luck on this forum. You'll need to find a more specialist forum.


If you do manage to get back into download mode, there is a guide on how to get 3 button combo working - If you didn't already follow it.
