Hi all,

Just seen the updated great New Lag Fix 2:

Benefits over the 1st lag fix

1.5GB of application data available, with no data loss.
e2fsck of the EXT2 partition on each boot.
Correct busybox version included! YES!
/app and /app-private directory included in the fix for faster application installs.
/dbdata/databases included in the fix, expected to give a big performance boost for apps that use it.
Mounts instead of symlinks for extra performance as OS does less work (about 100 or so more quadrant).

Didn't make any difference for me (as a first time trying a lag fixer). In fact, previous quadrant score 900 is now 898.

Don't know why it didn't work. followed everything to the letter and never got any errors. Must have missed something.

ah-ha. Tried the lagfixme.bat again and this time more outputs appeared on the screen.

Quadrant score: 2245 :-)

Make sure your USB is in debug mode and try again!

yeah it was already in debug mode. I even did the "allow permission" stuff and watched the rest of the lagfixme.bat continue, but I guess it didn't do the

adb shell su -c "/system/bin/sh /sdcard/lagfixtemp/createlagfix.sh"
well for some reason. Maybe I was too quick with the window close button without reading it!

I ran the first ones uninstaller, then the new 2.3 one and quadrant is now at 19xx on JP3 :D But doesn't feel any faster to me to be honest.

Just did this with ver 2.3. Quadrant score now 2239 !!!! It does take a while to do it (20 mins or so). The first time I tried it I thought it was done after a couple of minutes but the quadrant score hadn't changed. Used the "unlagfixme" bat file and then re-did it - worked OK second time around. Only thing wrong I've noticed so far is that my individual ring tones may have been mucked up but that's an easy fix - everything else seems good so far with a noticeable increase in speed
